Season's Greetings from the Ellis family

Here is our 2009 video Christmas card:

This year, we have chosen the nature, wild and cultivated, in and around our garden, as our theme. This is mostly a slide show with a few video clips mixed in.

Last year, we chose for our music 'Kolyadka', a Ukrainian Christmas carol, sung by the Monks and Choirs of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. We received a number of e-mails and other messages praising its almost haunting beauty; because of this, we have chosen another carol, 'The Child in the Crib', from the same source, credits for the permission to use it at the end.. We hope you find it as enchanting.

Warning: this video does contain a short sequence with spiders. If you have an absolute horror of them, please click here for the  second version, which has them removed; unfortunately, for space reasons, this has not the same quality. Neither version has snakes or other critters likely to cause the heebie-jeebies.

If you have a good Internet connection, the above video should play after a minute or so. If it doesn't, buffering is too slow or it keeps stopping, keep on trying and, when you reach the end, start the video off again. It should then play smoothly. If not, please right click here and save the video to your hard disk, then click on it. If all else fails, then try the YouTube (lower quality) version.
